This role is centered on website migration, CMS setup, content and functionality transfer, troubleshooting, and technical support across multiple web properties. The successful candidate will help assess the existing websites, recommend the best migration path, and ensure the sites remain professional, functional, and easy to manage after the transition.

Rate:
£8-12/hour

You receive 100% of your full advertised rate - paid directly to you by your client. We never take a cut, percentage, or reduce your earnings in any way.

 

POTENTIAL TASKS

  • Manage and support the migration of approximately 9 websites from outdated Joomla versions to a modern CMS platform
  • Rebuild, transfer, or replicate website pages, content, layouts, and existing functionality in the new CMS environment
  • Review current websites and recommend the best migration approach, tools, and structure for each
  • Identify and resolve technical issues during and after migration; test websites thoroughly to ensure functionality, responsiveness, and usability
  • Support or implement API connections, plugin setups, and third-party integrations where required
  • Assist with technical work connected to the company’s direct-to-consumer app project where relevant
  • Recommend practical improvements to website structure, maintainability, performance, and scalability

SKILLS/EXPERIENCES REQUIRED

  • Strong experience working with CMS platforms; Joomla experience highly preferred

  • Experience migrating websites from older systems to newer CMS platforms
  • Good understanding of website structure, responsive layouts, hosting, domains, plugins, and web functionality
  • Working knowledge of APIs, integrations, and technical implementation across websites or platforms
  • Able to identify technical issues quickly and recommend practical solutions
  • Comfortable managing technical work independently and taking ownership of deliverables
  • Strong attention to detail when handling content transfer, functionality checks, and testing
  • Strong written English and able to explain technical matters clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with WordPress, Webflow, or other modern CMS platforms is beneficial
  • Experience contributing to app, SaaS, or web platform builds is beneficial
  • Fast, reliable computer/laptop plus stable high-speed internet connection
