We are seeking a hands-on, commercially minded Financial Controller to take ownership of the accounting function across multiple entities within the group. This is a leadership role where you will oversee financial operations, ensure reporting accuracy, and drive process improvements.

You receive 100% of your full advertised rate - paid directly to you by your client. We never take a cut, percentage, or reduce your earnings in any way.

POTENTIAL TASKS

Financial Oversight & Reporting

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations across multiple entities
• Produce monthly management accounts with accuracy and timeliness
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
• Ensure all financial data is clean, accurate, and audit-ready

Cash Flow & Revenue Management

• Monitor cash flow and support forecasting across the group
• Ensure smooth credit control and supplier payment processes
• Implement revenue protection processes to maximize income streams
• Identify gaps, leaks, or inconsistencies in financial performance

Systems & Process Improvement

• Review and improve financial processes using technology and automation
• Introduce efficient systems for reporting, tracking, and reconciliation
• Support implementation of AI tools or software to improve workflows
• Maintain structured financial documentation and reporting systems

Compliance & External Coordination

• Ensure compliance with VAT, CIS, and property-specific accounting requirements
• Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and financial advisors
• Prepare reports and documentation required for audits and filings
• Maintain compliance across all entities within the group

Property & Transaction Support

• Support financial aspects of acquisitions, developments, and funding deals
• Assist with due diligence and financial analysis for new opportunities
• Track financial performance of property assets and investments
• Provide insights to support strategic decision-making

SKILLS/EXPERIENCES REQUIRED

• Strong experience in financial management, preferably within property or real estate
• Proficiency in Xero, Excel, and general ledger systems
• Solid understanding of VAT, CIS, and UK financial compliance
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to communicate confidently with directors and stakeholders
• Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple entities
