We are seeking a hands-on, commercially minded Financial Controller to take ownership of the accounting function across multiple entities within the group. This is a leadership role where you will oversee financial operations, ensure reporting accuracy, and drive process improvements.

You receive 100% of your full advertised rate - paid directly to you by your client. We never take a cut, percentage, or reduce your earnings in any way.
POTENTIAL TASKS
Financial Oversight & Reporting
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations across multiple entities
- Produce monthly management accounts with accuracy and timeliness
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
- Ensure all financial data is clean, accurate, and audit-ready
Cash Flow & Revenue Management
- Monitor cash flow and support forecasting across the group
- Ensure smooth credit control and supplier payment processes
- Implement revenue protection processes to maximize income streams
- Identify gaps, leaks, or inconsistencies in financial performance
Systems & Process Improvement
- Review and improve financial processes using technology and automation
- Introduce efficient systems for reporting, tracking, and reconciliation
- Support implementation of AI tools or software to improve workflows
- Maintain structured financial documentation and reporting systems
Compliance & External Coordination
- Ensure compliance with VAT, CIS, and property-specific accounting requirements
- Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and financial advisors
- Prepare reports and documentation required for audits and filings
- Maintain compliance across all entities within the group
Property & Transaction Support
- Support financial aspects of acquisitions, developments, and funding deals
- Assist with due diligence and financial analysis for new opportunities
- Track financial performance of property assets and investments
- Provide insights to support strategic decision-making
SKILLS/EXPERIENCES REQUIRED
- Strong experience in financial management, preferably within property or real estate
- Proficiency in Xero, Excel, and general ledger systems
- Solid understanding of VAT, CIS, and UK financial compliance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to communicate confidently with directors and stakeholders
- Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple entities
