This is a part time Digital Marketing Virtual Assistant role supporting a boutique travel company with social media, website updates, content creation, and broader digital marketing support. The role will begin with core social media, content, and website tasks, then gradually expand into newsletters, email campaigns, simple email list growth, and other digital marketing projects as the business grows.

The ideal candidate should be creative, tech savvy, proactive, and comfortable working with travel related content. They should be able to turn travel photos, videos, digital resources, and marketing ideas into polished content that keeps the brand visible, professional, and engaging.

⭐6 USD per hour

You receive 100% of your full advertised rate - paid directly to you by your client. We never take a cut, percentage, or reduce your earnings in any way.

 

POTENTIAL TASKS

Social Media Content Creation & Account Management

  • Create and schedule 4 posts per week across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn (both reels and stills)
  • Adapt content appropriately for each platform, especially LinkedIn as the top business-growth platform
  • Write captions and posts that match the founder’s tone and voice
  • Monitor engagement, respond to comments/messages where appropriate, and flag important client inquiries

Blog Content Creation & Management

  • Write and publish 1–3 blog posts per month in Wix
  • Format blog content clearly and professionally
  • Ensure blog posts sound polished, articulate, and aligned with the founder’s voice
  • Monitor comments and blog engagement, and escalate any important interactions

Scheduling, Publishing & Calendar Support

  • Maintain and organize the content calendar
  • Schedule content accurately using Buffer or a similar affordable scheduling tool
  • Ensure all posts go live correctly and on time
  • Prepare content early enough for the client to review before publishing

Image & Content Sourcing

  • Source images and videos from the founder’s personal travel library, iCloud, external drive, and approved sources
  • Work carefully within copyright and licensing rules
  • Use AI image generation only when appropriate and within brand/SOP boundaries
  • Sort through a large photo library and select content that fits the required style and message

Digital Marketing and Content Support

  • Create and repurpose travel content for Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
  • Turn travel photos, videos, and resources into social posts, reels, and other marketing materials
  • Help keep the brand visible and consistent across digital platforms
  • Support content planning and bring proactive ideas for improving the brand’s digital presence

Website and Lead Capture Support

  • Assist with basic Wix website updates
  • Help create simple calls to action for the website and social media content
  • Support gentle email list growth through website forms, sign up opportunities, and content that encourages potential clients to stay connected
  • Focus on soft lead capture through digital marketing, not cold calling, outbound prospecting, or aggressive lead generation

Email Marketing and Newsletter Support

  • Help create newsletters and email campaigns for existing and potential clients
  • Support quarterly travel updates using available digital magazines, travel resources, and destination content
  • Assist with simple nurture emails for new clients, such as travel tips, insurance reminders, off season travel ideas, and destination inspiration

SKILLS/EXPERIENCES REQUIRED

  • Prior experience creating content for a service-based or lifestyle brand
  • Strong LinkedIn content understanding
  • Familiarity with Wix, CapCut, and CRM-style systems
  • Personal travel experience that helps with destination-based content
  • SEO fundamentals and website content optimization experience
  • Ability to repurpose existing source material into fresh content
  • Experience working closely with a founder or personal brand
  • Strong digital marketing understanding
  • Comfortable creating strategic content, not just visually appealing posts
  • Tech savvy and willing to learn new tools quickly
  • Able to work with AI assisted content or video tools when needed
  • Proactive in suggesting content ideas and marketing improvements
  • Comfortable working in a role that starts with social media and website support, then grows into broader digital marketing projects
