We are looking for a Part-Time Architectural Design Support VA to assist with project-based drafting and 3D modeling work. This role requires strong practical proficiency in SketchUp and AutoCAD, with the ability to work independently after briefings and check-ins. The ideal candidate is not only technically capable, but also creative, detail-oriented, and interested in contributing ideas as the working relationship grows.

POTENTIAL TASKS
- Build, edit, and refine SketchUp models based on project briefs, markups, and design direction. Maintain organized model structure and clean file setup.
- Produce and update AutoCAD drawings (plans, elevations, sections, and other technical outputs as needed) with accuracy and consistency.
- Support ongoing design development by translating concepts into workable models/drawings and helping move projects forward efficiently.
- Where appropriate, suggest ideas/options and contribute creatively to the project rather than only executing instructions.
- Join short check-ins (often ~30 mins) to review tasks/priorities, then work independently between meetings. Communicate clearly on progress/questions.
- Keep project files, drawing versions, and outputs organized for easy review and handoff.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCES REQUIRED
- High proficiency in SketchUp required (client’s primary tool of choice). Must be confident producing clean, usable models.
- Strong practical proficiency in AutoCAD required for drafting/documentation support.
- Familiarity with Adobe tools is a plus (e.g., Photoshop / Illustrator / InDesign).
- Any rendering software experience is a bonus (please specify tools used).
- Strong attention to detail, clean setup habits, and consistent output quality.
- Able to work independently after clear instructions; comfortable with remote collaboration and occasional check-ins.
- Clear written/spoken English for discussing tasks, clarifying briefs, and reporting progress.
